Joe Lee Hansley is a native of Hazlehurst, GA, a small town located in Jeff Davis county. After graduating high school in 2001, he enlisted into the U.S. Navy to proudly serve his country. He completed 10+ deployments during his service in the military, where he's encountered life changing experiences that made a huge impact on his life. Inspired by great mentorships from military peers, this encouraged him to strive for his goals regardless of the obstacles that he faced. One goal in particular - to give back to those in need.
In 2005, The Joe Lee Hansley Foundation (JLHF) was created. JLHF is an organization that primarily targets at-risk youth with a purpose of building leaders, and increasing academic and professional success through our mentor program, as well as teaching necessary life skills.
Now with teams in:
Georgia - Florida - Tennessee - Virginia - North Carolina - South Carolina - Massachusetts
We believe all youth can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
The mission of JLHF is to provide outreach to at-risk youth, by promoting educational enrichment, leadership skills, one-on-one mentoring and global service initiatives that will cultivate the next generation of responsible leaders.
At JLHF, we envision driven and encouraged youth, standing on integrity, operating in strength, and growing in wisdom as they grow through life; learning to give back and dedicate their time, beliefs and efforts to others.
